Colophon: how this site is made
A colophon is the note at the back of a book about how it was made. This is ours.
Who makes it
Made and funded by Ray for The Bristol Creative Co, a not-for-profit artist development network in Bristol. It's a proof of concept (a first try to show it works). We're looking for partners.
Type and colour
Headings are set in Archivo. Body text is Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, made by the Braille Institute so similar letters like I, l and 1 stay easy to tell apart. Small details use IBM Plex Mono. The directory colours come from the Okabe-Ito palette, which was designed to stay distinguishable for people with the common types of colour blindness. Every colour also comes with a text label and a code.
The information
Listings come from the organisations themselves, their websites and public sources including Headfirst Bristol, Tagvenue, Resident Advisor, Skiddle, Music Venue Trust and Companies House. Details were gathered from March 2026 and websites were checked in September 2026.
